2022 Engineers Week Banquet Information
Company: Intel Corporation
Keynote Speaker: JC Parker
Senior Engineering Director
Design Technology Customization
Xeon and Networking Engineering
JC has over 33 years of IC design and product delivery experience. His career has been centered here in the Lehigh Valley since his first job with AT&T Bell Laboratories. This role has followed and expanded as the silicon design business transitioned through spinoffs and acquisitions – including Lucent Technologies, Agere Systems, and LSI. JC first worked as a digital IC designer, design manager, and design center director. With this foundation, he moved into Design Methodology management. He currently leads a geographically distributed team that drives optimizations in the Intel design flow and design customization for critical high speed IP components that serve this mobile market segment. JC holds a BS in Physics from the University of North Carolina at Asheville and a MSEE from North Carolina State University.
Presentation: Intel in the Lehigh Valley
The Lehigh Valley is home to the Xeon and Networking Engineering organization (XNE) and brings a legacy of wireline and wireless networking expertise to creating amazing products for today’s mobile networks. This presentation will give you a view of the history of that legacy: from AT&T Bell Labs through a rich family of spin-offs and finally to Intel today. The promise and application that fills our cellular-enabled lives will be reviewed – from 3G to 5G and beyond. Along the way we will discuss the backdrop of the incredible progression of silicon technologies and their challenges that make this journey possible
